Downtown property owners or businesses apply to the Design Committee for matching funds for covered projects. The Design Committee approval process ensures that the project conforms to our design standards.

Since 2004 the Sign, Lighting and Awning Program (SLAP) has made over $90,000 in exterior improvements possible in downtown Waukegan by offering 50% matching funds to downtown property owners and businesses.
